Jacob Toner is the Director of Risk & Intelligence at Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) in New Zealand, leading enterprise risk management and quality, safety & risk data insight for New Zealand’s largest healthcare provider.  Jacob has a background in risk management and project & programme management quality assurance largely in the public sector.  Jacob holds a Masters in Public Policy from Victoria University.  Jacob is the co-founder of ADHB’s Rainbow Employee Network.

I joined the Council to help contribute to making the risk industry welcoming and diverse.  Risk management is a multi-disciplinary field, and diversity is a strength to our practice.  RIMS as a leading organisation in the industry has an outsized role to play.  Closer to home I've founded an LGBTQI+ employee resource group, and created a process for identifying and responding to incidents of racism.
