Preferential treatment will not be given to any applicant, regardless of their status as an exhibiting and/or sponsoring organization. All programs MUST be submitted electronically for consideration. Late and/or incomplete submissions, as well as sales pitches, will NOT be considered. We will only accept proposals that comply with the guidelines.

Global Stage offers internationally focused educational sessions, as well as networking opportunities for attendees from around the world. Some sessions will be in different languages, however, WORDLY –

Innovation Stage is an educational experience that features exciting 30-minute presentations on the latest risk trends and issues in cyber, technology and artificial intelligence. (no sub-categories required)

Limits, Length, Speaker Limitations
1. Company Limit: Each company may submit a maximum of 10 session proposals (including those submitted by third parties on behalf of the company).
Subsidiary Allowance: Companies with subsidiaries in the risk management sector may submit up to 15 sessions (including third-party submissions). Do not exceed the submission limit. Any submissions beyond the maximum allowed will not be considered.
2. Speaker Requirements: Ensure all speakers are qualified subject matter experts and meet the specific requirements for the session length.
- For 60-minute topic, a maximum of two speakers is required during your submission process.
- At least one speaker MUST be a risk professional (as defined below).
- Risk Professional Definition: A risk professional is someone who manages risk for an organization but is not employed by brokers, underwriters, insurers, or similar entities. Their role involves developing and implementing risk management practices to help organizations make risk-effective decisions that add and sustain value.
- Note: This is a mandatory requirement following acceptance of your topic. The risk management industry expects insights from a professional perspective on the subject
3. 60-Minute Topics:
- These sessions should be interactive.
- Content should include engaging elements like case studies, peer-to-peer learning formats, and interactive discussions.
- 30-Minute Topics: Global Stage, Innovation Stage, Thought Leader Stage,Career/Learning Stage and Case Study Stage
- Sessions should present innovative ideas, cutting-edge solutions, and thought-provoking discussions.
- One speaker is permitted for these sessions.
4. RIMS will not accept session content created by generative A.I. (e.g., ChatGPT). All content must be original and created by the presenters.
5. Speaker Agreements & Guidelines: Upon acceptance, all speakers must sign the Guidelines and Speaker Agreements. Failure to sign by the deadline may result in the cancellation of the session.
Submission Summary
1. Session Title: Catchy title stands out but when creating ensure that the title is not misleading or misaligned with the session description.
- Tip: Ensure the title accurately reflects the session content to avoid attendee confusion.
2. Session Description: Provide a comprehensive, detailed overview of the session content.
- Don't Submit a one-line summary or include speaker names.
- Spell out all acronyms at least once for clarity.
- Speaker names must not be included in the description to maintain the blind peer review process. Submissions with speakers’ names will be disqualified.
3. Learning Objectives: Submit three (3) clear, specific, and substantive learning objectives.
- Focus: Highlight what attendees will learn, gain, or be able to do as a result of attending your session.
4. Speaker Requirement: You MUST include speakers’ details in the submission before you can SUBMIT and finalize your topic.
Note: Failure to provide this will result in your submission being marked as a work in progress until finalized. Work in progress submissions will not be reviewed
5. Category & Sub-Categories (For 60-Minute Sessions)
- Category: Choose one (1) primary category that best fits your topic.
- Sub-Categories: Select up to three (3) relevant sub-categories to refine classification.
6. If your session has been previously presented, upload supporting materials such as PowerPoint slides or handouts.
Rules and Regulations
- The session and its content belong to the original submitter, unless it was submitted on behalf of a company. If the submitter is no longer with the company and does not wish to retain ownership of the session, they may formally relinquish it to the company. A written email must be sent to the RISKWORLD Programming Committee before any changes can be made.
- RIMS will not mediate disputes between a speaker and their company. If such a conflict arises, the session will be canceled.
- Accepted sessions are scheduled between Monday and Wednesday across various time slots. Once a time slot has been confirmed, it cannot be changed.
- Session attendance is not guaranteed. If fewer than 40 attendees pre-register for a session, RIMS will contact you to determine whether you would like to proceed or cancel.
- RIMS may contact speakers during the review process. Please note: An email notification is automatically sent to speakers when they are added to a submission.
- RIMS reserves the right to adjust the title, description, time allotment, number of speakers, and other aspects of the presentation to align with the intent and goals of the overall program.
- RIMS also reserves the right to audio/video record or live stream any session.
- RIMS encourages speakers to take full advantage of the conference by registering at a discounted rate of US $675 (a savings of over $800). Registered speakers will have access to all events, meals, sessions, and the Marketplace (exhibit hall). If you plan to attend solely to speak, a session-only badge will be issued.
- RIMS does not provide reimbursement for travel, lodging, entertainment, or honorariums for RISKWORLD session speakers.
- Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in cancellation or reassignment of your session.
